Ecoalf was born in 2009 as “ECOALF 1.0” with a mission to create the first generation of recycled fashion products with the same quality and design as the best non-recycled products on the market.

Company founder Javier Goyeneche approached us to work with his team to create a brand’s launch video that would inspire consumers to buy better fashion. The brand strategy was simple yet new: we say what we do, how we do it and why we do it. Focusing on transparency and positive impact many years before sustainability was cool, the video should highlight Ecoalf innovative upcycling processes and the environmental savings of its fashion products.

Type and color were used to create a direct and powerful look and feel that connects with the urgency of fashion industry’s challenges and the need of change. Black, white and green, the colors of the brand, were carefully coordinated across the video to give the message an extra punch. The strong lettering, using the Akzidenz-Grotesk typeface (by Berthold) in bold and extra bold weights, adds power and reflects the brand’s eco-activist personality.
